Getting rich in GTA 5's story mode isn't about robbing every shop you see. The big money comes from waiting, saving, and using Lester's assassination jobs at the right time. Some players buy GTA V Accounts to skip the early grind, but if you're playing through the campaign yourself, the stock market trick is still one of the cleanest ways to build a ridiculous bank balance.

Why Lester's missions matter so much

Lester's assassination missions affect certain companies on the in-game markets. Take out the right target, and one business takes a hit while its rival climbs. That's the whole trick. The first mission, The Hotel Assassination, has to be done during the story, so you don't get much choice there. After that, don't rush. Leave the rest alone until the main story is finished and all three characters have a serious pile of cash. More cash going in means a much bigger return coming out.

The basic stock plan

Before starting an assassination, switch between Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, then put all their money into the correct stock. For The Hotel Assassination, buy Betta Pharmaceuticals on BAWSAQ, then sell around a 50 percent return. After that, buy Bilkinton Research on LCN and wait roughly a day for the rebound. For The Multi Target Assassination, buy Debonaire first, sell when it climbs around 60 to 90 percent, then put the money into Redwood and wait several in-game days for the huge recovery. That one can be massive.

Mission-by-mission moves

For The Vice Assassination, invest in Fruit Computers on BAWSAQ before the job, then sell once the profit sits somewhere around 30 to 60 percent. After selling, buy Facade and wait for its bounce. The Bus Assassination works a little differently. There's no good pre-mission buy, so finish the job first, then pick up Vapid shares when they're down and sell when they've doubled. For The Construction Assassination, buy Gold Coast on LCN before the mission and sell when it reaches about 80 percent profit. Keep checking the portfolio page, not just the market screen.

Saving, sleeping, and not getting greedy

Stocks don't always peak the second you expect them to. LCN usually needs more in-game time, while BAWSAQ often moves faster. Use safehouses to sleep and push time forward, but make manual saves in different slots before each big investment. It's annoying, sure, but it saves you from losing hours because you waited too long. If a stock hits the target range, sell it. Don't stare at it hoping for another tiny bump. That's how people miss the peak and end up reloading anyway.

Using the market after the assassinations

Once the Lester chain is done, you'll probably have more money than you know what to do with. You can still play the LCN market by watching rival companies like Redwood and Debonaire, FlyUS and AirEmu, or eCola and Raine, but there are no guaranteed wins after the scripted missions. Buy low, sell high, and don't lock every dollar into one shaky stock.
